This Five-striped Sparrow was found by Melody Kehl on 2 Aug 2011 in Montosa Canyon. Any Five-striped Sparrow found outside of California
Gulch or Sycamore Canyon is worthy of note (and documentation). The last report I could find for this species in Montosa Canyon was on
9 June 2009, see the list server archives. This image is rather poor due to the distance to the bird and its tendency to perch high in
a bush and high on the hill side. |
